When you're closing out those last minute flight reservations, there will be times when your fees, taxes, and surcharges are more than the actual price of the fare itself.

More often the case in international travel, this phenomena is becoming more and more prevalent in domestic flights as well. Be sure you know the full fare when selecting your flights, and watch out for those fees!

I totally agree with you..The surcharges are so much on ticket and I remembered when I read my last ticket air fare the taxes on it were so much that there was less difference between the actual fare and the taxes on it..

It seems like online travel sites are quoting low rates on purpose that convert to outlandish fares when you go to complete the transaction. I long for the old days when the price was the price and EVERYTHING (baggage, meals, bathrooms, etc.) was included in that price.

Being honest i don't even think about the surcharges and tax. From my next travel trip i will take consideration all things with surcharges too. I am totally agreed with this share..
